About Grove City
Grove City’s beginnings are traced to settlers who came to occupy land given to Revolutionary soldiers. The city was laid out in 1852 and incorporated a few years later. Grove City continues to grow–a unique small town with the conveniences of city living. Town Center, located in the heart of the community, is a walkable, vibrant place where people live, work, shop and play. You will find restaurants, coffee shops, local foods market, along with specialty stores and boutiques. Enjoy all this with close proximity to historic homes and the library.
Weekly music events and a farmers’ market are available in the summer. History buffs will enjoy the educational re-enactment about life during the years between the Revolution and the Civil War. Arts in the Alley festival, a juried arts and crafts exhibition, includes musical performances and a parade. Art classes, including pottery, ceramics and painting are available.
The city has two high schools, a career center, schools for challenged students and ten elementary and other schools. The Grove City Center for Higher Education is a unique partnership of seven institutions that provide a broad range of educational opportunities.
Among other home choices, the “Courtyard at Pinnacle” is a fabulous new maintenance free golfing community. The Town Center of Grove City is fourteen minutes from downtown Columbus, with easy access to I-71 and I-270.
