Lewis Center

About Lewis Center

Lewis Center is in Orange Township, whose first settlers arrived in 1807. The village began in 1850 when a railroad was built in the area. It was named for William Lewis, whose family donated land for the railroad station. The school district has a total of 23 schools – fifteen elementary, five middle and three high schools. Nearby are metropolitan parks, including Highbanks Park. It is named for its massive 100-foot-high shale bluff towering over the Olentangy State Scenic River.

Nature trails, pet trails, running and hiking trails, playgrounds and bird watching are just a few of the activities one can take advantage of. Conveniently located within the area bounded by state route 23 and I-71, Lewis Center is minutes from the Polaris Shopping Mall and numerous business and services.

Housing opportunities abound in the area. Downtown Columbus is just thirty minutes south.
