About Lewis Center
Lewis Center is part of Orange Township, which saw its first settlers arrive in 1807. The village took shape in 1850 after a railroad was constructed in the area. It was named after William Lewis, whose family contributed land for the railroad station. The local school district includes 23 schools, comprising 15 elementary schools, five middle schools, and three high schools. Nearby, you’ll find metro parks like Highbanks Park, known for its stunning 100-foot shale bluff overlooking the Olentangy State Scenic River.
This area offers plenty of outdoor activities, from walking and hiking trails to playgrounds, pet-friendly paths, and birdwatching spots. Positioned between State Route 23 and I-71, Lewis Center is just minutes away from Polaris Fashion Place and numerous businesses and services.
The housing market here has a range of options to suit various needs, and downtown Columbus is only a 30-minute drive south, making it an appealing choice for commuters and families alike.
